Courts can’t recoup $100 sport wager

A man who lost a $100 bet on a sports gambling website cannot use a provision in Illinois law whose “relevance and applicability have dwindled” to recover his losses, a state appeals panel ruled Friday.Plaintiff Colin Dew-Becker sued Andrew Wu in Cook County Circuit Court after he lost a head-to-head daily fantasy sports bet that was arranged through FanDuel.
