City doesn’t owe fees in pension suit

A state appeals court has rejected a plaintiff firm’s bid to collect nearly $1 million in attorney fees from the city after successfully challenging changes to city workers’ pension benefits.Krislov & Associates Ltd., sought attorney fees from the city of Chicago and two of its pension funds — the Municipal Employees’, Officers’, and Officials’ Annuity and Benefit Fund (MEABF) and the Laborers’ and Retirement Board Employees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund (LABF) — after the firm’s clients got a state law overturned that …
