As Pritzker preps for budget address, deficit worse than expected

SPRINGFIELD — Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s first budget address is next week and he’ll be walking into a budget deficit 16 percent higher than he originally expected.But, while a recently released report is quick to blame former Gov. Bruce Rauner, the Illinois Republican Party said Pritzker is being “disingenuous” about the state’s finances.Deputy Gov.
