Bill aims to dissuade inmates from exposing selves to guards

SPRINGFIELD — In effort to keep incarcerated individuals from exposing themselves to correctional officers, lawyers and civilians in jails and prisons, a bill seeks to revoke up to one year of sentencing credit as a disciplinary action.Under Senate Bill 416, if a disciplinary board established by the jail or prison administrator finds that an inmate committed assault or battery on a peace officer or has committed an act of public indecency, the warden can revoke up to 90 days of sentencing credit upon a first offense …
