SPRINGFIELD — Illinois will be part of a $700 million settlement with Equifax that resolves a nationwide investigation into the consumer reporting agency. Attorney General Kwame Y. Raoul announced the settlement last week, saying some Illinois residents could be eligible for up to $20,000 each in compensation for damages from a massive data breach.
