The federal trial bench in Chicago is getting reinforcements.The U.S. Senate last week confirmed the nominations of Mary M. Rowland and Martha M. Pacold to serve on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois as judges with lifetime tenure.Rowland currently is serving an eight-year term in Chicago as a magistrate judge, while Pacold is deputy general counsel of the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, D.C.Neither Rowland nor Pacold could be reached for comment.The women were recommended for the bench …
