SPRINGFIELD — Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed into law Wednesday legislation that is intended to keep domestic violence survivors and their children safe. Senate Bill 399, now Public Act 10-0211, allows survivors of domestic violence to omit their address from court documents if they believe it will cause risk to their family’s safety.Victims will also be able to keep addresses of domestic violence safe houses protected.
