New law gives private sector added harassment protection

SPRINGFIELD — Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed a measure Friday that creates better protections for private sector workers who experience sexual harassment and discrimination.The new multipart law, sponsored by Democratic Sen. Melinda Bush of Grayslake, does a number of things including making harassment against contract employees illegal.
