Dispatcher loses lawsuit over use of gun in shooting

The city of Chicago did not run afoul of the Second Amendment when it fired a police dispatcher for shooting another woman during a traffic altercation, a federal judge held.In a written opinion last week, U.S. District Judge Thomas M. Durkin dismissed with prejudice the lawsuit Keli Calderone brought against the city and two officials with the Office of Emergency Management & Communications.Calderone filed the suit following her acquittal in a bench trial on an attempted murder charge.Durkin rejected the argument that …
