Cook County judge rejects Hyland ruling, grants prejudgment interest after order

A Cook County Circuit Court judge granted prejudgment interest in a personal injury case earlier this month after the court announced motions on the hotly disputed issue will remain pending until the Illinois Supreme Court settles the matter.Judge Marcia Maras ruled prejudgment interest unconstitutional in May after being tasked with deciding on the issue.But Law Division Presiding Judge James P.
