Tollway documents FOIA’d by WBEZ need review, panel rules

Redacted documents given to WBEZ by the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority need further review to determine whether they are exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), a state appellate panel ruled.A panel of the 1st District Appellate Court ruled that the highway authority has not yet been given the opportunity to prove that the documents fall within an exemption under FOIA and a previous order from the trial court.Justice Nathaniel R.
