Ex-ISU student sues school over sex assault claims

A former student at Illinois State University is seeking more than $1 million in damages for the school’s handling of sexual assault allegations made against him, according to the (Bloomington) Pantagraph. The lawsuit filed in federal district court claims ISU violated John Doe’s due process rights because he was restricted from parts of campus, ordered not to contact the female accuser and was suspended before a school disciplinary hearing took place.
