Gov. Bruce Rauner used his veto pen to halt a measure that would’ve required regulations for gun dealers at the state level. But the bill’s sponsor hasn’t quit on the issue yet. Sen. Donald F. Harmon, an Oak Park Democrat, is set to announce a new bill to keep tabs on gun sellers later today in Springfield, according to a release. Details on the revamped effort are still forthcoming, but Harmon promised another attempt to approve state gun regulations late last month.
