Romanucci retained for suit vs. Michigan cop

The Chicago firm of Romanucci & Blandin LLC filed a federal civil rights lawsuit on behalf of a woman who was allegedly raped by a Covert Township, Mich., police officer who pulled her over in July 2016. The officer, Erich Fritz, pleaded no contest to a single count of lawful imprisonment; prosecutors dropped charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping against him, according to a law firm announcement.
