Judge threatens newspaper with prior restraint order

A Broward County judge threatened to restrict what the South Florida Sun Sentinel could report after the newspaper published the full details of a redacted report the Broward County school board released on Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooter Nikolas Cruz. According to the Sun Sentinel, Judge Elizabeth Scherer was unswayed by the newspaper’s arguments that the burden was on the school board to ensure the report was properly redacted.
