An out-of-state company is off-the-hook for a $615,000 tax bill charged by Illinois officials.The 1st District Appellate Court has ruled the Prairie State cannot bill a company for two sets of annual business taxes and fees just because its paperwork didn’t reflect a 2004 merger.The company, Global Mail Inc., was originally incorporated in Delaware.
