John Corcoran has spent his career in writing and editing, primarily in the daily newspaper field.

Prior to coming to the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer, Corcoran was a senior copy editor Daily Herald, covering the west, northwest and north suburbs. Before the Herald, Corcoran spent 17 years with The News-Sun newspaper in Lake County, Ill. He performed a number of duties from reporter, rewrite man, copy editor, wire editor and copy desk chief. The News-Sun now concentrates on Waukegan, North Chicago and Zion, but at one time covered the entire county. Previous positions included being the managing editor at The Daily Journal in Wheaton and working on several weeklies and two trade magazines.

He is married and lives in Wheaton.
