High court orders suspension of father charged in son’s death

The state’s high court issued an interim suspension Tuesday for Andrew T. Freund, who is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his 5-year-old son A.J. Freund, whose registered business address is in Riverside, is being held on $5 million bail in the McHenry County Jail.In early May, a grand jury in McHenry County indicted Freund and his live-in-girlfriend, JoAnn Cunningham, who is A.J.’s mother, in the murder of their son.Prosecutors allege A.J. was beaten to death by his parents.The Illinois …
