Sports memorabilia collector’s contract claim not in the cards

A sports memorabilia dealer who alleges a customer asked him to obtain certain NHL trading cards and then failed to come up with the agreed $485,000 purchase price does not have a claim for breach of contract, a federal judge held.In a written opinion, U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman granted summary judgment in favor of Brandon Babich in a lawsuit filed by Anthony Swiatek.Coleman held the evidence does not support Swiatek’s contention that he suffered any damages.The evidence shows Swiatek still possesses …
