WOCHNER LAW FIRM LLC
PARTNER

Corinne Cantwell Heggie is a partner at Wochner Law Firm and devotes her practice to safeguarding individuals from legal battles, asset loss and taxes with estate planning. Corinne’s work with financial services companies as a Big Law partner qualifies her to collaborate with banks, financial advisors, and trust departments to advance her clients’ legacy goals with estate plans. Corinne regularly appears in probate courts when a judge must determine where an asset distributes.

Corinne is the immediate past President of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois (WBAI). Under Corinne’s leadership, WBAI forged an unprecedented number of partnerships and alliances with other bar associations, the judiciary and government offices at the local and state levels to launch a collaborative celebration and commemoration of a civic milestone’s centennial year: the passage of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution providing women the right to vote. In board rooms and offices across Illinois, Corinne reminded people of the perseverance of the women who advocated, collaborated and partnered, many times meeting with adversity and opposition, as they fought a battle spanning two centuries and nearly 100 years.

With her graceful, yet determined and focused leadership style, Corinne creates an environment of collegiality, inclusiveness and accessibility. Her election to the Presidency of WBAI was the culmination of a lengthy career record of service to the WBAI and to the profession. Additionally, Corinne has served in executive and board member positions on the North Suburban Bar Association working to improve access to the legal system and attorney civic engagement.

In 2017 Best Lawyers named Corinne a “Women of Influence” nationally in the legal profession. Since 2019, Corinne has been selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer based on an evaluation including factors such as peer recognition and professional achievement in legal practice. Previously, Corinne was an Illinois Rising Star.

Outside of work, Corinne is a frequent lecturer and her work has been published in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Corinne is a columnist for the Daily Herald’s Glenview and Northbrook weekly publication.
