Thomas Cronin gets results. It’s why this young attorney, a partner with Gordon & Rees Scully Mansukhani, has earned a reputation as a stellar lawyer on both sides of the trial bar.

Joseph Balesteri with Power Rogers & Smith LLP, worked on a difficult medical malpractice case opposing Cronin. What Balesteri found was that Cronin arrived each day fully prepared to provide his client with the best possible representation.

“Tom prepares for everything well in advance, he grasps all of the important details and is ready to defend his clients,” Balesteri said. “Tom is never late and never obstructing. He doesn't defend by obstruction or annoyance. His calmness and social ease make him a formidable adversary. Juries, experts, other attorneys and the parties like Tom.”

Of course, this courtroom demeanor wouldn’t mean much if Cronin wasn’t successful in the courtroom. But it’s here that this young attorney shines.

As an example? Cronin was the lead attorney on behalf of a large product manufacturing company in a premises liability case in a two-week trial in Lake County, Illinois. The plaintiff asked the jury for an award of nearly $2 million.

Chicago-based personal injury attorney Colin Dunn has also seen firsthand just how skilled Cronin is in the courtroom. He opposed Cronin in a construction wrongful death case. That case, thanks in large part to Cronin’s work, went to summary judgment. Dunn said that this “frankly was a major surprise.”

Bradford Roth with Cassiday Schade is not surprised at Cronin’s success. Roth worked with Cronin when both attorneys worked for Cassiday.

“Tom is a can-do person and lawyer,” Roth said. “His reputation is that he is a tireless advocate. In our business, people generally come to you with a problem they need you to solve. He gets that. And combined with a superior ability to effectively communicate, people come back to him and his reputation continues to grow. Tom is also a gentleman and understands his responsibilities to make the system work effectively and fairly without sacrificing his role as an advocate and problem-solver.”

Another nominator concurred with Roth’s Observations, saying, “We should all want to watch and strive to exemplify the attorney Tom Cronin has become.”

Outside of his practice, Cronin has authored articles for the Chicago Bar Record in the area of Residential Real Estate Law and the Illinois Mechanics Lien. He has given multiple presentations to lawyers and professionals regarding applications of residential real estate law and is a continuing co-panelist for an Insurance company on relevant topics of design professional law.
