The University of Illinois Board of Trustees took the first step in establishing Chicago’s first public law school on Thursday.The board approved a resolution to allow the University of Illinois at Chicago to acquire The John Marshall Law School, creating the UIC John Marshall Law School.Law school Dean Darby Dickerson, who will continue to serve as dean of the new law school, said she expects the private institution to close officially by July 2019 with the first UIC Marshall class entering in fall 2019.John …
