$4.1M award upheld after 2011 stroke in nursing home

A Cook County judge has upheld a $4.1 million wrongful-death verdict against a suburban nursing home awarded in July.Dolores Trendel’s family alleged Clare Oaks and two staff members failed to manage her blood-thinning medication causing her to suffer a stroke in 2011.After the six-day jury trial before Circuit Judge Thomas V.
