Madigan, other AGs urge Trump to keep DACA

The state’s top lawyer took another step to pressure the Trump administration Friday, joining with 19 other attorneys general to urge the president to continue a program to keep certain immigrants in the country. Attorney General Lisa M. Madigan signed onto a letter urging President Donald Trump to continue Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, which allows immigrants brought to the United States as kids to remain here if they do things like file for work permits.
