The new owners of Tribune Tower are suing to keep the Chicago Tribune sign on the building, even though it will no longer be the home of the newspaper as of June 30. CIM Group and Golub & Co. allege that they have the right to buy the sign from the newspaper’s owner Tronc Inc. for $1, adding that they will be irreparably harmed if its removed.
