Plaintiff’s settlement with third-party defendant OK

A state appeals court Thursday ruled it is fair game for a plaintiff in an embezzlement lawsuit to settle with a third-party defendant bank over the primary defendant’s objections.Chicago-based AdGooroo LLC sued its accountant, Jim Hechtman and his firm in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Hechtman and The Hechtman Group Ltd. failed to discover a nearly $1 million embezzlement scheme by AdGooroo’s CEO and another employee.Hechtman then sued AdGooroo’s Bank of America as a third-party defendant, alleging …
