A Kansas judge reduced the prison sentence of a 67-year-old man convicted of soliciting minors on the internet, finding that his 13- and 14-year-old victims were partly to blame. While the state’s sentencing guidelines called for Raymond Soden to receive at least 13 years in prison, District Judge Michael Gibbens cut the term to five years and 10 months because the victims were “selling things monetarily that it’s against the law for even an adult to sell.”
