Winston & Strawn LLP Chairman Dan K. Webb (left) and Clifford Law Offices senior partner Robert A. Clifford squared off in a mock Eastland Disaster criminal retrial Thursday in Chicago. Webb argued for the defense while Clifford argued for the prosecution. Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne M. Burke acted as the trial judge. 844 people died in the 1915 Eastland Disaster. “Not guilty” verdicts were returned on all charges in the original criminal trial. Read the story»
